Deanston Distillery Tour (7th Dec / £20 per ticket)
East Linton Whisky Society are pleased to announce a fantastic pre-Christmas travel opportunity for all our Members and their guests (family and friends welcome). On Saturday 7th December we have been given private access to the Scottish Tourist Board 5-Star visitor attraction and multi-award winning Deanston whisky distillery in Doune (Stirlingshire).
Deanston have very generously offered to organise return coach hire from East Linton (depart 8am) for the 1hr 15 min trip. They will then take our Members on both a tour of the distillery and on their ‘Warehouse Experience’ that includes a tasting panel of 3 whiskies drawn straight from the cask. Deanston will also provide a small lunch and access to their Cafe. At the distillery you will have the opportunity to buy whisky from their core range and from their new distillery exclusives.
All this is available to you for the fantastic price of only £20 – with the added bonus that this money can be redeemed against purchase of whisky while you are there. The true ticket value of this exciting trip to Deanston distillery is worth over £80 each and with the redemption of your ticket price going towards a whisky purchase, this is surely a great opportunity for us all and a great offer from Deanston.
For those of you coming to our next tasting on Friday 22nd November, Deanston will be presenting 6 of their whiskies, so the distillery tour will give you an opportunity to see where and how the spirit is made, and an opportunity to buy something that you enjoyed at the tasting.
To ensure that Deanston have sufficient time to book the correct sized coach we need our Members to purchase their tickets ASAP, preferably within the next 7-10 days. We are initially aiming for a 50-seater coach. If you want to buy more that a few tickets then please ask us first just so we can make sure all our Members get a chance of coming.
